Our ward Christmas party was pajamas and pancakes and boy, did Kimball have quite the outfit. Elephant shorts from Thailand, FSY t shirt, Mickey Mouse slippers, and a Santa hat on top of his cowboy hat. No shame. No embarrassment. Just a ripe 14 year old making everyone laugh.
One of the local hardware stores gives every student in the district a $6 voucher to use for Christmas. Absolute genius marketing! So I took Ezra in there where he found Santa by the yard power tools, had hot chocolate and cookies, and even found his sibling gift for Kimball. The checkout line was out the door.
This year the church's Giving Machine was in the Spokane Valley mall and it was our first time participating. What a great experience and a lovely way to spend time together as a family!I just love this picture so much, I wanted it in my journal. The Pettingill Christmas party was at the cabin and this year we did a cousin exchange along with a sibling exchange. Check out this awesome beetle Brad found for Christine! That is pure joy right there.
These are the cousin exchange gifts we received - Zander got Kimball a wilderness guide book and a personalized military necklace, Peytin got Cora a tie dye kit, and Quentin got Ezra light up bouncy balls so he can play wall ball when he gets home from school (it's already dark when he gets home from school).
Our annual Christmas Eve picture in front of the tree - when I sent this to Grandparents I became acutely aware at how big the kids are getting. Time doesn't slow down and it is such an odd thing. I swear just yesterday I was still changing diapers and washing bottles and reading books at bedtime. I'm so grateful for these three humans I get to call mine. They fulfill my life and bring Lance and I such joy, I'm so grateful Heavenly Father entrusted them to us.
These were the only pictures taken on Christmas day.
