Last received notification that there was a mission reunion with President Doxey and it's been 23 years since he served his mission. I was able to get babysitting very last minute, so I flew down to UT with Lance for two nights.
While I was in Coeur d'Alene the previous week with Lance's folks eating ice cream, the ice cream shop had some of the most unique and vintage candies I've ever seen. I saw the biggest jaw breaker ever and instantly thought of Lucas. If anybody's mouth was big enough for that thing, his was. Lucas even brought it to school the next day to show his teacher, haha!
The reunion was beautifully done and it was so nice for Lance to catch up with all of his old companions. He's so glad he went and even though those things can be awkward for the wives, I made my own way around and made several new friends by the end of the night.
Elders Gillette and Stewart. Elder Gillette writes music (aside from being a doctor) and we got to sing his song I Will Be What I Believe. Elder Stewart studied at Julliard and is a musical genius, we got to watch the video of the restoration of his Millennial Choirs and Orchestras that is just breathtaking.
The next morning we got to have breakfast and catch up with Greg and his wife. I only wish we had more time with them!
