Glamping at Copper Falls

Due to work and other obligations, Lance was unable to come with the kids and I on any of our summer trips. No hiking or swimming or visiting family in Twin. We were definitely missing him and you could tell each of us were starving for his company. I found a little cabin to rent in northern Idaho at Ruby Ridge that was right on the water at Copper Falls. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

We all stayed up late playing games and eating junk food, we really just enjoyed everybody's company which was so badly needed. During the day we hiked to Copper Falls and explored around it. We found a tame warty toad that wasn't one bit scared of us and swam in the river right by the cabin. We were literally one mile from the Canadian border so we drove there to put one foot in ID and one foot in Canada - being in two places at once. (For some reason those pictures aren't loading right). This trip was just what everyone needed. A time to disconnect from the world, isolate ourselves as a family, and simply enjoy being together. It will definitely be annual tradition for sure.

There are no words adequate to describe how beautiful the scenery and the view was. Just absolutely breathtaking!
