Random Photos & Manito Park

Crazy Cora morning curls.

"Mom I can't sleep"

Little Squirt accidentally fell into the piano bench and got a nice shiner.
I went on a walk with Julie to Manito Park and even though I've been there before, I had never been to the Japanese Gardens. It's beautiful!! And then we walked over to the Duncan Gardens and let the kids play while we enjoyed a picnic lunch.

Lance had to shave his beard for a new calling, lol
Student of the month for Kimball, excellent job!

BMX Class

Once I learned there was a BMX track in Spokane I knew I wanted Kimball to try it. He loves mountain biking so much so I thought it would be right up his alley. He loves it! The starting gate was very intimidating, steep, and loud. After the coaches explained and showed how to go from the gate, Kimball was just absolutely petrified and WOULD NOT TRY IT. He just bawled and bawled, his fear got the better of him. I have to admit, it is pretty steep.

But the two coaches were amazing and slowly worked with him little by little getting him used to the gate. So they started half way down slope and slowly inching their way up until he was comfortable. Then they let him do it by himself once the gate was down. It wasn't until the second practice that he did the gate by himself. I'm so proud of him for conquering that fear and giving it a go even though he was petrified to do it, and trusted in his coaches!

School Time -FINALLY!!!

I honestly didn't know if this day would ever come again. With this COVID pandemic shutting everything down last year, quarentine, homeschool, and losing my sanity.....I didn't think I'd come out alive. Whew!

But here we are on individual dates with my babies getting new shoes and a backpack!

This year the school did a "kickstart" and had 3 half days for two weeks. The kids couldn't get enough of it and couldn't wait for school to start. Here are their art projects they worked on.

2nd grade and 4th grade, we are ready!!!

Couldn't leave out little squirt.
Just me and my caboose waiting each day for the bus to get home.

CDA Rodeo & Sailing

We were gifted tickets with amazing seats for the CDA rodeo this year. It was so much fun to see those cowboys come from all across the country to compete in their sport. They're incredible!

A friend in our ward not only owns his own private plane but also a sail boat, which once he learned we've never been sailing he immediately invited us out on the Pend Oreille Lake with him. That lake is stunning! Those boats only have a speed of 7mph so it forced us to just slow down, give up control, and enjoy the moment. I loved every bit of it!
