Summer Vacation

Our summer vacation home this year was really fun but I didn't take many pictures at all. We were gone for 2 weeks and did not do any camping, fishing, 4-wheeling, or visit Elba. It was strictly to visit family. My favorite day was when ALL the Pettingill cousins went swimming and enjoyed a snow cone afterward. Boy, we had a blast! There were a few thunderstorms that had short spurts of a downpour and mine and Christine's kids had a ball running and playing in the rain. Christine also got some incredible shots of lightening!

For the Cox reunion in Twin, one day was spent at Stephanie's where Conrad made us all homemade pizza and we swam. My favorite thing was a recital that Grandma asked all the grandkids to participate in. Even Ezra plunked a few keys on the piano but it was just the sweetest and most loving recital. Sydnee and Addie even sang solos. It made my heart melt to see the passion and love of music that Donna and John instilled in their kids be taught to the next generation and have them grow closer to the Savior through music.

John lightened the mood when he did 5 Little Monkey's Jumping on the Bed in his own gruff Grandpa style. Ezra still does it just like him, he loved it.

Towards the end of our vacation we picked up this guy from a family in Pocatello. We named him Murphy and he's a mini Cavapoo - cavalier spaniel and poodle mix. The kids are smitten and I'm thinking what in the world did I get myself into?!
