Happiest of birthdays to this big man in the house! Holy smokes, 11 years old. Kimball is such a great student, rule follower, thinks of others first, funny and witty, and just an all around good kid. He especially loves to make people laugh just like Dad. He is increasingly becoming a much pickier eater which is a hard thing for me to not take personally and his anxiety has become an all time high this month. For a few weeks he wasn't even functional and I was so desperate to know how to help him. We sat and cried a lot together, of course this happened when Lance was in DC visiting Kempton so I didn't have his help. It's new territory we're trying our best to navigate and help him through. He still loves to ride bikes and do tricks on his scooter, draw animations, and play with Murphy. He's mature for his age and still holds my hand in public which I'll gladly accept as long as he lets me. I love you, Kimball!

Fall BMX
Man, oh man, have the boys been enjoying BMX! Ezra picked it up so quickly and executed the drills great. They had a super season as Kimball came in first for his moto and Ezra came in second for his moto. Way to crush it, boys!
Random October Happenings
Lance and I went with a group of friends zip lining through WA just south of Liberty Lake. It was so pretty to see the fall colors from up high and you can't beat those views. The weather was amazing!
My friend Joanna had a canceled trip but didn't want her hotel reservations to be wasted, so she invited a few gals from the ward for an overnighter girls night. It was so fun! We started by getting manicures, had Greek food for dinner, and stayed up late into the night chatting about life at the historic Davenport hotel. It was a much needed last minute break for me.
Lance FINALLY got his 73' VW Karmann Ghia back.....now to work on the interior.
Look at my sweet cubs!
While playing hide n seek Ezra found Murphy's kennel as a good hiding spot, haha. This cheeky Cora will not stay in her own bed! She's always sneaking out at all hours of the night, watching tv and sneaking into any food she can find. I've tried EVERY strategy and consequence to change this but to no avail. When I asked her how she was going to stay in bed she said, "I know! I'll make a sign and put it by my bed so when I wake up, I'll know that I need to go to you room!" I let her make the sign but it didn't even work on the first night, she was up. Needless to say, she has a sleep study scheduled for a couple of nights.
On this night I decided that she wasn't able to sleep in her own bed if she couldn't stay in it so she slept on the floor in my room. I had to take a picture of her.....she tucked Princess Poppy in and let her borrow the sleep mask. So sweet.
First Day of School & Class Fieldtrips
My annual date with each child to get school supplies although now the district supplies it all, so we just needed shoes, backpack, and lunch box. For their treats Ezra chose Coldstone, Cora chose Retro Donuts, and Kimball chose Pete & Belle's. The kids all have great teachers so it should be great year!
First day of 5th, 3rd, and Kindergarten.
My sweetest little baby with the humongous backpack just waiting so patiently for the bus to come.
A big, huge grin from both Ezra and Kimball who was an excellent big brother helping him transfer buses and navigate his first day. Yep, I cried. I knew this day was coming and boy did it come fast! My heart just burst at all the amazing friends he'll make and wonderful things he'll learn but so sad at the same time to lose my daily pal.
For the first time ever I got to volunteer for class field trips! Kimball's was a hike to Hog Lake where they learned about different vegetation and had an art project. It was in the 80's in October!
Cora's field trip I forgot to take a picture of us together but she got to go to Riverfront Park where they learned about floods and the ice age. Here are a few scenic shots I got.
Ezra got to go to Walter's farm where they played in the pallet maze, irrigation slide, had a tractor ride and learned all about apples, and got to pick a pumpkin to take home.
